Mr. Michael Persampieri has been a school administrator for the past 10 years with Grand Island Public Schools (GIPS) in Grand Island, Nebraska. Prior to joining GIPS Mr. Persampieri was a School Psychologist and School Counselor for 6 years and a classroom instructor in special education for 5 years. Data systems, instructional supports and the school improvement process in general have been a focus of his professionally throughout his career. Mr. Persampieri’s professional experiences have centered around the problem solving approach, data based decision making and fidelity of instruction across a multi-tiered system of support. Currently, an area of focus has been student and staff belonging and the structures needed in development of belonging across the school setting.
Mr. Persampieri holds a M.A. in Educational Psychology from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln and a M.A. in Educational Leadership from the University of Nebraska - Kearney.
