With a master's degree in mathematics education from Simon Fraser University under Dr. Peter Liljedahl, Takuya's research analyzed students' thinking through their questioning in collaborative group work. He specializes in fostering problem-solving skills and implementing standards-based assessments. Takuya is deeply committed to mentoring teacher candidates and supporting professional development initiatives within the district, promoting innovative teaching practices.
