About me
I work at a small inclusive school in a rural farming community in greater Minnesota. We have higher than average number of students with IEPs and 504s. We hold the belief that all students are able to learn math at the highest levels. I am lucky to work in a district that is supportive of the innovative practices BTC incorporates. Additionally, with over 20 years of experience as a licensed foster parent, I have a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by students with Adverse Childhood Experiences. Having fostered over 40 children, nearly all of whom have had IEPs and high ACEs scores, I have witnessed firsthand the transformative power that effective BTC teaching strategies can have on the lives of vulnerable learners.
