About me
Kathleen Trifonovitch has over three decades of elementary classroom experience. A National Board Certified Teacher, she was a key member of the Maunawili Elementary School team that received the 2018 Shirley Hord Learning Team Award at the Learning Forward conference as part of the Hawaii Math Lab Cohort. Kathleen was a 2024 Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (PAEMST) Finalist for Hawai'i. Since 2021, she has been instructing engaging summer Mathematical Mindset Math Camps and has co-facilitated Math Lab Cohorts with district specialist Candice Frontiera since 2023, having been a participant in the cohorts since 2016.
