Building Thinking Classrooms 2025 Annual Conference

The National Math Foundation provides support and resources for all stages of program development. Schools interested in supplementing their current curriculum with NMF programming, such as Math & Movement,™ may contact the Foundation for implementation assistance.
By providing funding, the NMF will make programming accessible to all school districts regardless of socio-economic standing. Through regular conversation and contact with a Foundation representative, the interested party will receive assistance in the form of grant application support, direct funding, training, and/or complete educational material packages.

Ways to get involved NOW:

• Engage students in 60 minutes of movement-based learning daily
• Find an upcoming webinar or workshop
• Notify your local school board, teachers, and principal about the National Math Foundation to grow interest and awareness
• Link our website to your facebook page, blog, site, etc. to let others know about benefits of movement-based learning

The Outreach Plan for the National Math Foundation is extensive and includes the following to reach the broadest possible audience:

• Corps Team Member Recruitment
• Workshops and Leadership Training
• Family “FUN” Math and Literacy Events
• Math “BUDDIES” Programs
• Playground Stenciling Projects

Calling All Oregon Educators Attending the BTC Conference!
Join us for an informal Oregon BTC Meet & Greet. Whether you're new to BTC or have been building thinking classrooms for years, come connect with fellow educators from across our state who are passionate about student thinking, collaboration, and everything BTC.
This is a great chance to share ideas, build community, and celebrate the amazing work happening in Oregon schools.
We will be meeting in Lake Washington Ballroom I on Sunday, June 29th from 5:00 - 6:00 and in Lake Washington Ballroom I on Monday, June 30th from 4:30 - 5:30.

After a day of insightful sessions, join Pam Seda and the Conference Team for an exciting Game Night full of strategy, puzzles, and brain-teasing fun! Learn some new games but also learn how the game skills correspond to the skills needed in a thinking classroom. Come alone and team up with other attendees or bring a whole group! There's something for everyone—strategy games, thinking games, number challenges, and more. Dive into your favorite familiar games (Connect 4, Othello, Blockus, Prime Climb, SET) or team up with fellow attendees to explore something new (ever heard of Black Box, Abalone, Rumis, Input, Multi, Numeroso?). From classic puzzles to fresh challenges, this is your chance to unwind, connect, and ignite your competitive spirit. No experience needed. We’ll teach you the games as needed.
